Thomas Lorentz started in the flooring business by working for relatives. In 1963, he began his own business in Palisades Park, NJ, specializing in making custom stains — whites and colors.


In 1967, he moved his company to Northvale, NJ and opened a showroom to display the many types of floors available.


In 1988, he added a second location in Blauvelt, NY in Rockland County, still keeping the showroom in NJ. That same year, his son Thomas Jr. joined the growing business.


Today, Thomas Lorentz & Son Inc. serves both New York (Rockland and the surrounding counties) and New Jersey (Bergen and the surrounding counties) by providing high-quality flooring along with flooring installation, repair, and refinishing services.
